DEFECTORS BE AWARE

The recent results of by-election have sent a very strong signal to the politicians who hop the parties regularly to suit their individual needs. The defeat of Mr.Somanna from Govinda raja nagar and Mr. C P Yogeshwar from Chennapatna assembly constituency is a pointer in that direction. Both were elected on Congress tickets in the election held in the year May 2008. They left Congress party and joined BJP for personal reasons. Both were handsomely rewarded by BJP, in spite of opposition from the loyal party workers. The voters have taken note of the politicians who switches parties at their will.Mr. Somanna was once an independent MLA and he was with JDS and Congress and finally for reasons best known to him joined the saffron party. He was once considered as invincible because of his rapport with the voters. But frequent changing of parties without any noticeable reasons has not gone well with the voters. He should gracefully resign from the ministerial post and introspect himself about his defeat.
